The Birth of Music Award

Pilgrimage Music & Cultural Festival has revealed the lineup for the 2023 edition of its annual festival. The event will return to The Park at Harlinsdale Farm in Franklin, Tennessee on September 23 and 24. The Lumineers and The Black Crowes will headline on Saturday while Zach Bryan and Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats are set to cement Sunday’s performances. Kendrick Lamar, The Killers, and Odesza have been confirmed to headline Las Vegas’ Life Is Beautiful 2023. The Nevada festival will return to the city’s downtown area this September to celebrate its 10th anniversary. Vegas’ own The Killers will come circle from the festival’s first edition – which it also headlined – and top the bill on the opening day on September 22, closing out a day of performances from the likes of Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Inhaler, Slayyyter, Raye, and more.

Six-time Grammy Award winner Billy Joel performed his new song “Turn the Lights Back On” on Sunday night. With this win, Swift becomes the first artist to win in the category four times. Frank Sinatra, Stevie Wonder and Paul Simon have each won album of the year three times. “When I say that I’m happy to be here, I really mean it from my heart,” Dion said before presenting the award. “Those who have been blessed enough to be here at the Grammy Awards must never take for granted the tremendous love and joy that music brings to our lives and to people all around the world.”

  • Miami, FL festival III Points has revealed the full lineup for its 2023 edition, running across October at Mana Wynwood Convention Center.
  • “I think the truth is none of it is that surprising,” the 37-year-old songwriter and producer tells GRAMMY.com.
  • A music award is an award or prize given to honour skill or distinction in music.
  • Foo Fighters and Turnstile will close out the first day of music, while Queens Of The Stone Age will headline night two.

In the years since its inaugural weekend back in 2008, Outside Lands has become a signature San Francisco event. Three days of dancing to dozens of bands and yucking it up with A-list comics are punctuated by drinking and dining experiences that put traditional festival food to shame. (In previous years, there have been such things called “Cheese Lands” here, as well as a “Wine Lands” and Bubble Tea Party in a magical forest). The bands rock, the fog rolls in and it’s a long and awesome weekend. Best known as the place where Dylan went electric (before being cut off by angry folk traditionalists), Newport Folk’s been showcasing the changing face of Americana for nearly half a century. While the lineup usually has a healthy dose of acts that reflect its history of traditionalism, it also features rockers, R&B singers and electronics-assisted performances.

The event will also includes performances from Joyce Manor, Pussy Riot, and Dilinger Four. A ferry is still the best way to get to Governors Ball, but train, bus and walking over the RFK Bridge will deliver you, too. Attendance wise, it’s a fraction of the size of American fest like Coachella and Lolla, yet its bookings often trump the big boys. While the vibe is never as loose and celebratory as fests with campgrounds, afterward, you can lose yourself in the bustle of the Big Apple. You’ll probably spot a lot of punters posing for the ‘gram, but many others at Coachella will be just be loving the awesome music and gorgeous Californian weather. Undoubtedly, some guy sporting goggles and dreadlocks will tell you Burning Man is not what australian music prize it used to be, man, before he speeds off in his solar buggy, and he’s probably right.

Eddie Vedder, Foo Fighters, and The Killers will headline Ohana Festival 2023. The festival will return to the picturesque Doheny State Beach in Dana Point, California, between September 29 and October 1. The Killers will top the bill on the opening night, closing out the festival’s first day following sets from HAIM, Father John Misty, Japanese Breakfast, and more. Eddie Vedder – the festival’s founder – will headline on the second day, alongside appearances from The Chicks, The War On Drugs, Goose, and others. “1234FEST”, which was conceived and curated by the members of Jawbreaker and their team, is scheduled for Saturday, September 9 at The JunkYard in Denver and on Sunday, September 23 at Freedom Mortgage Pavilion in Philadelphia, with the two days boasting identical lineups.

Plus, as well as the music, there’s a sports area (probably not best enjoyed on a comedown/hangover), chill zones, a zip line and a 3D dance arena. Although it’s moved on since its politicised beginnings, it’s still got a strong sense of social responsibility attached to it. This intimate woodland party is one of the UK’s most raved-about new(ish) festivals, and it’s easy to see why. Everything you hear at Houghton is relayed through the finest sound-systems, having been chosen by long-standing Fabric resident Craig Richards, who curates the event. Richards handpicks a killer cast of DJs, including some of the biggest and best names from house, techno, disco and more. There’s also visual art and sculpture to engage the eyes as well as ears.

Day N Vegas

This event made space for women in the music industry to gather and support one another, recognizing all of the strides made in a male-dominated field. “Since songwriting sparked my interest in the music industry, it was inspiring to be in the room with so many talented creatives,” Tamara says. “Networking with professionals who hold multiple roles in the industry encouraged me and reaffirmed my goal of maintaining both business and creative aspects in my career.” Later that night, Philadelphia Chapter Rep Tamara Tondreau and Los Angeles Chapter Rep Jade Bacon worked as GRAMMY U press at the A Celebration of Craft event, a collaboration between the Recording Academy Producers and Engineers Wing and Songwriters and Composers Wing. This was the very first time GRAMMY U Reps were invited to this exclusive event; Tamara, a songwriter herself, called this event “unforgettable.”
